Do I need to pay a deposit to confirm my booking?

Yes, most bookings require a deposit at the time of confirmation. The deposit amount varies depending on the type of holiday and supplier requirements — we'll confirm the exact amount when you enquire. The balance is typically due 10 weeks before departure.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak travel periods like summer, Christmas, and school holidays. Popular destinations and flights can sell out quickly. That said, we can often arrange last-minute trips too — just get in touch and we'll see what's available.

Will I receive a written confirmation of my booking?

Yes. Once your booking is confirmed and your deposit received, we'll send you a written booking confirmation by email. This will include your travel details, payment schedule, and any important information about your trip.

Can I book for a group?

Absolutely. We specialise in group travel and can arrange flights, accommodation, transfers, and activities for groups of all sizes. Contact us directly to discuss your group's requirements and we'll tailor a package to suit.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via our secure Stripe payment system. All transactions are encrypted and we never store your card details.

Is it safe to pay online?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment platforms. Your card details are encrypted using industry-standard TLS technology and are never stored on our servers.

Question 8

When is my final balance due?

Accepted Answer

For most bookings, the final balance is due 10 weeks (70 days) before your departure date. We'll send you a reminder in advance. If you book within 10 weeks of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Can I pay in instalments?

Accepted Answer

We offer a deposit-and-balance structure as standard. If you'd like to discuss a more flexible payment plan, please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Question 10

What happens if I need to cancel my holiday?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation charges apply depending on how far in advance you cancel. More than 70 days before departure you lose your deposit only; within 14 days you may lose 100% of the booking cost. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover cancellation costs.

Can I change my booking after it's confirmed?

Accepted Answer

We'll always try to accommodate changes. An administration fee of €25 per person per change may apply, and changes are subject to availability and may result in a price difference. Some bookings — particularly non-flexible airline tickets — cannot be changed. We'll confirm what's possible when you contact us.

What if KennyTravel.ie needs to cancel my trip?

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking (other than due to non-payment), we'll notify you as soon as possible and offer either a full refund or an alternative holiday of equivalent value. We are not liable for cancellations caused by events outside our control such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government travel restrictions.

Do you recommend travel insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every trip. It should cover cancellation, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, baggage, and travel delay. Please take out insurance at the time of booking so you're covered from day one.

Question 14

How long does my passport need to be valid?

Accepted Answer

Most destinations require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return travel date. Some countries require more. Always check the specific requirements for your destination well in advance of travel.

Do I need a visa for my destination?

Accepted Answer

Visa requirements vary by destination and nationality. As Irish and EU citizens, many destinations are visa-free or offer visa-on-arrival. We can advise on the requirements for your specific trip, but it is ultimately your responsibility to obtain the correct documentation. Check with the relevant embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date information.

Some destinations require proof of vaccination or specific health documentation. We recommend consulting your GP or a travel health clinic at least 6–8 weeks before departure. You can also check the HSE Travel Health website and the destination country's embassy for the latest requirements.

We are based in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow, and serve customers throughout Ireland. We arrange travel worldwide — from European city breaks and beach holidays to long-haul adventures and luxury escapes.

What are your opening hours?

We're open Monday to Friday 10:00am–5:00pm and Saturday 10:30am–5:00pm. We're closed on Sundays and public holidays. You can also send us an enquiry online at any time and we'll get back to you on the next working day.

Yes. KennyTravel.ie is a registered Irish travel agency (Company Registration 676750, VAT 2611366SIE). We are fully compliant with Irish and EU consumer protection legislation, including the EU Package Travel Directive.

How do I make a complaint?

We're sorry to hear if something hasn't gone to plan. Please contact us in writing at contact@kennytravel.ie within 28 days of returning home. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 28 days. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
